finals book report

I Introduction/General Information about the Book


· Title: To kill a mocking bird

Main Character: Scout Finch

· Describe this character:  Scout finch always remembered what she learned from her father that doing right isn’t always rewarded.


· Supporting Characters: (name at most three)
Bob Ewell
Calpurnia

Thomas "Tom" Robinson


· Describe some details about each supporting character
Bob Ewell - has a daughter named Mayella and a younger son named Burris as well as other unnamed children. He is an alcoholic who poaches game to feed his family because he spends whatever money they have on booze.
Calpurnia - she can be described as a strict mother figure.

Thomas "Tom" Robinson - a 25-year-old black man who is accused of assaulting and raping Mayella Ewell

 The story took place in a  small Southern town of Maycomb in 1930s.

IV Plot: The Action/Summary of What Happened in the Story


· Summary of the story (list up to 6 events that happened in the story; keep them in order):
coming-of-age story of Scout Finch and her brother, Jem, in 1930's Alabama
The summer when Scout was six and Jem was ten, they met Dill, a little boy who spent the summer with his aunt who lived next door to the Finches. 
Tom Robinson is sent to a work prison to await another trial, but before Atticus can get him to court again, Tom is shot for trying to escape the prison.
After Jem's arm is badly broken, their ghostly neighbor, Boo Radley, rescues Scout and her brother.
Boo Radley returns home never to be seen again.
She realizes that once you get to know them, most people are good and kind no matter what they seem like on the outside.

The author is trying to help us destroy the strong line between the different races the world have.


· This book showed me/I learned from this story:
            The book helped me to lessen the feeling of being under someone sometime. It should me that even how powerful or how rich you are, you are still a person living in this world like me.

            I like the book for it gave me a new perspective about life..
